Rebuilding the Women’s Movements (Phase Two)

Duration: 12 months
Location: Kabul
Donor: UN Women
Budget: 45,000 USD
This project, funded by UN Women, successfully empowered 50 women in District 11 of Kabul through vocational training in tailoring and beadwork. The participants were selected through a transparent process, ensuring that support reached those with the greatest potential for sustainable success.
Alongside hands-on skills training, the project provided in-kind support, including tools, materials, and resources, enabling participants to launch or expand their home-based businesses. The initiative enhanced their technical abilities and promoted economic independence, equipping them to create sustainable livelihoods for themselves and their families.
By the end of the project, the participants not only improved their skills but also became more confident contributors to their communities and local economic development. This achievement highlights OTSSO’s commitment to fostering long-term empowerment and socio-economic resilience.
