Building Brighter Futures

Friba Maryam
CEO, Founder
At Omid Taghir Social Services Organization (OTSSO), we believe that true and lasting change begins with opportunity — the opportunity to learn, to work, and to grow. Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Kabul, Afghanistan, OTSSO was established with a deep commitment to supporting vulnerable groups and helping communities rebuild hope in the face of adversity.
Our mission centers on empowering women and youth, providing them with the tools and skills they need to lead independent, dignified lives. Through a range of educational programs, vocational training, and livelihood initiatives, we aim to reduce poverty, promote self-reliance, and foster resilience among those who need it most.

We work closely with local communities, listening to their needs and designing sustainable solutions that create real impact. From teaching women sewing and entrepreneurship skills to supporting children’s education and youth employment, every project we undertake reflects our belief in the potential of people to shape their own futures when given the right support.
Since our founding, OTSSO has grown from a small grassroots effort into a respected organization known for its compassion, dedication, and effectiveness. Our strength lies in our people — a team of committed volunteers, educators, and community leaders who share a single goal: to build a more just, inclusive, and prosperous Afghanistan for all.
At OTSSO, we do more than deliver aid — we nurture potential, inspire hope, and create pathways toward long-term social change.
